Experience His research was in the area of Quantum Well Intermixing (QWI) of InGaAsP MQW structures for Photonic Integrated Circuits. Andrew has extensive experience in all aspects of III-V optoelectronic device design and manufacture, gained with Agilent Technologies. As a founding member of CST Global, he is responsible at Sivers Photonics for the technical roadmap of the company, including developing new device designs and process technologies.

Experience In 2009, he joined the Electrical Engineering Department, Columbia University, New York, NY, USA, as a professor and the Director of the Columbia High-Speed and Millimeter-Wave IC Laboratory (CoSMIC). In 2017, he co-founded MixComm Inc., which was acquired by Sivers Semiconductors in February 2022. He has received numerous awards in both academic and industrial settings.

Experience Previously he was a Research Staff Member with the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. In 2012, he joined Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, USA where he is a Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In May 2019, Dr. Natarajan joined Mixcomm Inc. as VP of RF Technology. Mixcomm was acquired by Sivers Semiconductors in February 2022. Dr. Natarajan is widely recognized as one of the pioneers of silicon-based millimeter-wave circuits and systems and has been recognized with multiple awards throughout his career.

Experience Erik joined Sivers Semiconductors (previous Sivers IMA) in October 2011 as a senior mmWave RFIC engineer and was appointed CTO in October 2020. He has pursued a career in mmWave and terahertz RFIC research at several European universities and smaller companies.

Experience Following his qualification as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) with KPMG in 2005, Michael moved into Industry as the Financial Accountant for the frozen pizza manufacturer Schwans Consumer Brands UK Ltd. He was promoted to the position of Financial Controller at Schwans before moving on to the role of Commercial Finance Manager at the drinks company C&C Group PLC. This was followed by four years as the Financial Controller of the Whisky and Gin Operations division of Bacardi Ltd.

Dr Iain Eddie

Education MEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Ph.D. in Photonics at the University of Glasgow, Scottland.

Experience His research was in the design, fabrication and characterisation of VCSELs with carrier confinement by Quantum Well Intermixing. During his 16 years at Sivers, Iain has led many major projects, most recently focusing on InP sources for silicon photonics applications. As Director of Device Engineering, Iain leads the Device Engineering Team, responsible for the development of new device designs and implementing Sivers technology platform strategy.

Graeme Urquhart

Experience Graeme has held a variety of senior commercial roles within the technology sector. Prior to joining Sivers Photonics in 2020 he was Business Development Director at Novosound, a Scottish technology start-up developing thin-film, ultrasound sensors for non-destructive testing across oil & gas, aerospace, and engineering markets. Previously he spent 14 years at world renowned Scottish engineering firm Linn Products, operating in senior sales and business development roles worldwide.

Dr Graeme Masterton
Operations Director, Photonics
Education Joint PhD between Dundee University and Xerox PARC.

Experience High volume DRAM manufacture with NEC Semiconductors, completing a new 8-inch silicon fab start up and holding senior process engineering positions in dry etch and CVD areas. Thereafter, Graeme moved into compound semiconductor R & D with QinetiQ, working on commercial gas sensing and IR imaging projects. Graeme joined GaAs start up Intense Photonics prior to joining CST global (now Sivers Photonics). During his time at CST and Sivers Photonics, Graeme has held several senior operational and technical roles.
