- What is the TRX BF/01?
- It is a complete 16RX + 16TX beam forming RF transceiver supporting the frequency band 57-71GHz.
- What is the architecture used in the TRX BF/01?
- It is a Zero-IF topology ie 16 RF in/out and analog base band I/Q in/out.
- What is the main targeted application for TRX BF/01?
- The Transceiver is targeting data and telecommunication infrastructure solutions for unlicensed 5G mm-wave use cases.
- Does the TRX BF/01 have any internal calibration routines?
- The TRX BF/01 includes support for DC offset, LO leakage and IQ calibration. It includes an auxiliary ADC, supporting various external functions, e.g. power and temperature measurements as well as production test support.
- What is the size of the TRX BF/01 package?
- 1.26×1.26cm.
- TRX BF/01: The beam book states 64 phase vectors can be stored. Can you describe what each vector consists of and the process of importing our own?

Regarding the beambook we will give you a short explanation for now, hopefully soon we can provide you with a user manual describing this in more details: The beam book file consists of a matrix of the form 16 columns and 64 rows. Each column contains information to the corresponding antenna how the phase shifts should stand (note that the beambook is reversed ie column 0 controls antenna patch 16) and each row contains one of 64 possible beams that the memories may contain. Each cell can thus have values from 0x0000 to 0x3F3F.

- No. This is an analog beamformer IC which requires signals at 5G NR frequencies (24 to 29 GHz).

- Yes.
- Does one chip AFE VM 2Q 275/295 cover the whole 5G NR frequency range from 24.25 to 29.5 GHz?
- No. Two chips are needed for this. AFEVM2Q275 covers 24.25-27.5 GHz and AFEVM2Q295 covers 26.5-29.5 GHz.
- What is the difference between BFM06010 and BFM06011?
- Internal ref clk (BFM06011) and external ref clk (BFM06010).
- What is the interface to the BFM06010 and BFM06011?
- It is differential analog I/Q interface.
- Can we connect an external LO to BFM06010 and BFM06011?
- No.

- It is differential analog base band, zero-IF, I/Q interface.
- What kind of connectors are available on the EVK02001 for the analog base band signal?
- There are 4 TX and 4 RX mcx female type of connectors.
- Can we modify the EVK02001 to be used with an external x-tal?
- Yes, instruction for modification can be found in the user manual for EVK02001.
- What control interfaces are available and excess thru the EVK02001?
- There is a USB, SPI and 2xGPIO connector interfaces available for direct access to registers. All connector pinning are described in the user manual for EVK02001.
- Does the EVK02001 come with a graphical user interface?
- Yes, where you can set all the registers.
